Soft amphoteric surfactant. It has both acidic and basic properties, making it versatile over a wide pH range. Does not irritate the skin. Used to increase foaming, thicken cosmetics and improve the stability of cleansers. Can be used as a basic surfactant or as a co-surfactant.
